Two-time returning letter-winner who adds depth to the middle distance and distance freestyle events…swam for the Mecklenburg Aquatic Club under coach Pat Hogan…was a member of the 1999 Mecklenburg team that won the girls team championship at Junior Nationals…placed 5th in the 500 free at the 2000 spring Junior Championships and 4th in the 400 free at the 1998 Junior Championships...an outstanding student at UNC. 2001-02: Swam in the 2002 ACC Championships as an exhibition entry.

Summer 2001:
At the USS Southern Sectional she placed eighth in the 1500 free and 11th in the 400 free.

2000-2001:
Earned her first letter as a Tar Heel…at the 2000 Nike Cup, she finished 15th in the mile and 19th in the 500 free…was a strong performer for the Tar Heels in the freestyle events…was also named to the prestigious ACC Academic Honor Roll.

Prep:
Graduated on June 1, 2000 from Providence High School…swam for her high school team all four years and was team captain her senior year…was a member of three consecutive North Carolina High School State Champion teams at Providence…was a Scholastic All-America her sophomore through senior years…also had eight top five individual finishes and eight top eight relay finishes in high school….was a member of the National Honor Society, Latin Honor Society, SADD, and the Octagon Club.
