WBB To Square Off Against Texas Tech & Alabama In WBCA Showcase

ORLANDO, Fla. – Heading to the "happiest place on earth," North Carolina women's basketball is set to travel to Orlando for two games at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World for the 2026 WBCA Showcase. In Florida, the Tar Heels will take on two NCAA Tournament teams in Texas Tech and Alabama as part of their non-conference slate.
Carolina faces Texas Tech for the first meeting between the two programs on Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. ET and then wraps its time in Florida on Nov. 21 against Alabama at 5 p.m. ET. The Tar Heels and Crimson Tide meet for the 12th time and for the first since the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
Television designations for the WBCA Showcase will be announced later.
Entering year eight of the Courtney Banghart era in Chapel Hill, the Tar Heels are coming off back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances and their third in the last five years. Eight faces from last year's team are back in the fold, with six newcomers entering the mix, including four transfers and two freshmen, and look to raise the bar after winning 14 Atlantic Coast Conference games in 2025-26.
