Fencing Releases 2026-27 Schedule

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina fencing has revealed its competition slate for the 2026-27 season, as announced on Monday afternoon.
The Tar Heels begin their season traveling to the Sunshine State for the first of four North American Cup (NAC) events on their schedule with the October NAC on the 9th-12th beginning at 8:00 a.m. EST each day in Orlando.
The team will then head to Durham, N.C. to face off against Duke to open their November action on the seventh. Competition continues that month with a trip Pennsylvania for the Elite Invitational on Nov. 14-15 and finishes with the November NAC in Columbus, Ohio from Nov. 20-23.
The season picks back up in the new year as the Junior Olympics will be held between Jan. 8-10 in Oklahoma City. The collegiate schedule continues with a stretch of competitions between January and February including JHU Duals in Baltimore, Md. on Jan. 17 and Penn State Duals on the 23rd before moving into February starting with annual back-to-back competition at the Beguinet Classic in Durham on the sixth and the Miller Classic at home in Chapel Hill on the seventh.
The Tar Heels will compete in their penultimate NAC in February in Richmond, Va. on Feb. 12-15 before moving into postseason challenges.
The postseason slate consists of ACC Championships in Stanford, Calif. on Feb. 20-21 before beginning NCAA action with regionals on home turf on March 13 before NCAA Championships in Durham on March 25-28.
Carolina will once again close their season at the April NAC in Cincinnati, Ohio between April 16-19.
