Women’s Tennis Releases Fall Slate
September 6, 2025 | Women's Tennis
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Under the guidance of head coach Brian Kalbas, the University of North Carolina women's tennis team prepares for the 2025 fall season. The program released the fall slate that features several home tournaments for the Tar Heels en route to the NCAA Individual Championships hosted in Athens, Ga. on Nov. 18-23.
This fall is the second year of a two-year trial program by the NCAA and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association to hold the NCAA singles and doubles championships in the fall rather than in the spring after the conclusion of the NCAA team championships.
UNC is set to officially open the fall season on the weekend of Sept. 12 by hosting the annual Kitty Harrison Invitational. The Tar Heels will wrap up play in September during the ITA All-American Championships through Sept. 20-28 at Cary Tennis Park in nearby Cary, N.C.
October features the ITA Tournament Regionals before concluding with the Rome Tennis Center Fall Collegiate Invitational Oct. 24-26 in Rome, Ga.
On the road to Athens, Carolina will compete in one final tournament, ITA Sectionals, from Nov. 6-9.
To wrap up the fall season, those Tar Heels that qualify will head down south to Georgia to play in the NCAA championships.
