Heels Scrimmage In Wednesday's Heat

Chapel Hill, NC--Â The North Carolina Tar Heels held a nine 1/2 inning scrimmage on Wednesday afternoon in ninety-degree heat at Boshamer Stadium.
Offensive Highlights:Â Erik Paulsen was 2-3 with three RBI and one run scored. Paulsen had a great, 13-pitch at bat which he finished off with a double to left-center. Cooper Nicholson was 2-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Tyler Howe was 2-4 with a double, while Gavin Gallaher was 2-5 with one RBI. Macon Winslow was 2-3 at the plate.
Colin Hynek belted a 366-foot homer to right center, while Owen Hull had a double for the only other extra-base hit.
Pitching Highlights:Â Jason DeCaro tossed 4.0 perfect innings, retiring all twelve batters he faced. Folger Boaz gave up one run in 3.0 innings while striking out three.
Tom Chmielewski threw 3.0 scoreless innings, and Camron Seagraves tossed 2.0 scoreless innings.
The Tar Heels next full scrimmage will be on Sunday afternoon.
