Women’s Basketball Receives 2025-26 ACC Schedule

CHAPEL HILL, N.C – With the Tar Heels set to hit the court next month for exhibition play, the start of the season is in the air as North Carolina women's basketball received its Atlantic Coast Conference schedule from the league this afternoon.
Playing an 18-game schedule, Carolina kicks off conference action at home from Carmichael Arena on Dec. 14 against Louisville. Wrapping up 2025, the Tar Heels head north for a Monday night meeting against Boston College on Dec. 29.
Fans have the chance to ring in the new year with Carolina women's basketball, as the Tar Heels host the Bay Area schools with Cal on Jan. 1 and Stanford on Jan. 4. Carolina receives a Thursday bye before traveling to Notre Dame to face off against the Fighting Irish on Jan. 11. Returning to Chapel Hill, Carolina welcomes Miami to Blue Heaven on Jan. 15. Spending the weekend on the road, UNC visits Tallahassee to meet Florida State on Jan. 18. Remaining on the road, Carolina visits Georgia Tech on Jan. 22. Carolina concludes January at home, hosting Syracuse on Jan. 25.
To kick off February, the Tar Heels will travel across the Triangle for a rivalry meeting at NC State on Feb. 2. Returning to Carmichael later in the week, Carolina welcomes Clemson on Feb. 5. Staying in North Carolina, the Tar Heels make the short drive to Winston-Salem and visit Wake Forest on Feb. 8. SMU comes to Chapel Hill for the first time, facing off against the Tar Heels on Feb. 12. The Tobacco Road Rivalry resumes on Feb. 15, as the Tar Heels head to Duke for the first of two meetings against the Blue Devils this season.
The Tar Heels travel to Virginia Tech on Feb. 19 as the final stretch of conference play draws near. Pittsburgh comes to town on Feb. 22, before Carolina begins the last week of ACC play with a visit to Virginia on Feb. 26. The Tar Heels close out the regular season on March 1, hosting Duke from Carmichael for Senior Day.
Carolina jumps back into action at the end of October, facing off against South Carolina in an exhibition game in Atlanta from State Farm Arena on Oct. 30. The regular season begins in Chapel Hill on Nov. 3, as the Tar Heels welcome NC Central for its annual Field Trip Day game at 11 a.m. ET.
