CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Anticipation continues to build for the 2025-26 North Carolina women's basketball season as the Tar Heels released their upcoming non-conference schedule on Tuesday. Fans have the chance to catch the Tar Heels in Carmichael with six home games during non-conference action.
Kicking off the regular season at home, Carolina welcomes NC Central to Carmichael Arena for its annual Field Trip Game on Monday, Nov. 3. Remaining in Chapel Hill through the first week, Carolina hosts Elon led by Tar Heel legend Charlotte Smith on Thursday, Nov. 6.
Heading West, Carolina takes off to Las Vegas for the inaugural WBCA Challenge for games against defending conference champions in UCLA and Fairfield. Both games from Sin City will be held at Michelob ULTRA Arena on Thursday, Nov. 13 and Saturday, Nov. 15.
The Tar Heels make their way back to North Carolina for a short trip up the road to North Carolina A&T in Greensboro on Thursday, Nov. 20 from the Corbett Sports Center. Carolina returns to Carmichael to wrap up its time at home in November with UNCG on Thursday, Nov. 23.
Breaking out its passports, Carolina ventures to Mexico for the 2025 Cancun Challenge to play three games in three days at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya from Nov. 27-29. Taking on three NCAA Tournament teams in Columbia, Kansas State and South Dakota State, Carolina has the opportunity to win its second-straight multi-team event and fifth under Courtney Banghart.
The challenges continue, as Carolina travels to the Lone Star state for the ACC/SEC Challenge with its first visit in program history to Texas on Thursday, Dec. 4. Following four straight road contests, Carolina returns to the comfort of home with its final three-games of the non-conference stretch in Carmichael. The Boston University Terriers travel to Chapel Hill on Sunday, Dec. 7. Taking a short break for finals, Carolina returns to the court on Wednesday, Dec. 17 to welcome UNCW for an in-state matchup. Charleston Southern comes to town on Sunday, Dec. 21 as the Tar Heels close out non-con play before the holiday break.
