Wrestling Duo Earns NCAA At-Large Bid, Tar Heels Sending Eight To Philadelphia

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The North Carolina wrestling duo of Spencer Moore and Jayden Scott earned at-large selections to the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships in Philadelphia, the NCAA announced Tuesday afternoon.Â
Moore and Scott were two of 46 at-large selections announced on Tuesday, joining the 284 conference tournament allocations spots secured this past week.Â
Six Tar Heels earned NCAA allocations on Sunday at the ACC Championships: Ethan Oakley (133), Lachlan McNeil (149), Sonny Santiago (157), Joshua Ogunsanya (174), Gavin Kane (184) and Nolan Neves (285).Â
In total, Carolina will send eight to the national tournament next week, the most since the 2021 campaign.Â
Seeding and brackets for this year's championships will be revealed tomorrow, March 12, during the selection show at 8 PM.Â
