CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- University of North Carolina women's tennis added signee Anna Frey Thursday afternoon. Frey will join the Tar Heels this upcoming January.

Frey joins UNC after compiling an impressive junior resume. Considered a blue-chip prospect by tennisrecruting.net, Frey has been ranked as high as no. 2 nationally in her recruiting class and was a two-time semi-finalist at the USTA Billie Jean King Girls' 16s National Championships. On the professional circuit, Frey has attained a career-high WTA ranking of no. 803 in the world and defeated the world no. 103 at the 2024 Cleveland 250K WTA event. Frey also won a state championship at the no. 1 singles position for Farmington High School.
