Vázquez Montaño Posts Second Win Of Weekend

Athens, Ga.– North Carolina diving closed the book on the University of Georgia Diving Invitational, with six divers advancing to the finals.
For the women competing in the 1M, Aranza Vázquez Montaño (288.60) picked up her second win of the competition. Ellie Joyce (277.85) and Sophia Knight (271.00) finished in third and fourth.
On the men's side in the platform, Carter Loftin (332.00) advanced to the finals for the third day in a row, finishing in sixth, while Conrad Eck (310.85) advanced to the finals for the second day in a row, taking eighth in the competition and moving into eighth all-time in Carolina history.
Up Next: North Carolina Swim and Dive will take on Duke on Friday, Jan. 10, in Chapel Hill at 5:00 p.m. EST. The team will honor the graduating seniors in a pre-race ceremony. Fans can follow the results live on Meet Mobile.
