Men's Swimming & Diving Wrap Up Season At NCAA Championships

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The University of North Carolina men's swimming and diving team wrapped up its 2022-23 season with a 23rd-place finish at the NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships at the at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center on Saturday.
The Tar Heels finished with 27 points, 10 shy of a top-20 finish, highlighted by an All-America performances from senior diver Anton Down-Jenkins and freshman swimmer Louis Dramm.
Down-Jenkins finished fourth overall in the 1-meter springboard competition to earn All-America status for the seventh time. He finished ninth in the 3-meter event and received Honorable Mention All-America accolades.
Dramm received Honorable Mention All-America with a 14th-place finish in the 400 IM. He also set the UNC record in the 200 IM with a time of 1:43.21.
Junior Boyd Poelke competed in the 200 fly and posted a time of 1:43.87 but did not qualify for the championship final.
The Tar Heels tied with Miami for fifth among the eight ACC teams competing at the event.
