Wrestling Drops Non-Conference Matchup To Appalachian State

BOONE, N.C. – The No. 21 North Carolina wrestling team dropped its Sunday afternoon non-conference matchup, 24-14, to in-state opponent Appalachian State in Boone.
Carolina collected decisions in the matchup from Spencer Moore (125) and Jayden Scott (149), as Gavin Kane (184) and Max Shaw (197) earned bonus point victories for the Tar Heels.
The Tar Heels return to action after the Holiday Break on December 29-30, traveling to Soldier Salute in Iowa City, Iowa.
