LAST MEETING
Paris Kea and Stephanie Watts combined for 31 points for North Carolina in a 70-58 loss at No. 12 Duke on Thursday, Jan. 12 from Cameron Indoor Stadium. Watts registered her then ACC-leading ninth double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Kea led all scorers with 16 points.
Duke was paced by a trio of double-figure scorers. Leaonna Odem had 15, while Kyra Lambert and Lexie Brown added 13 and 12, respectively.
LAST TIME OUT
Four players scored in double figures to lead No. 18 NC State to an 80-60 victory over North Carolina Thursday night from Reynolds Coliseum. Jamie Cherry scored a game-high 25 points to pace the Tar Heels. Paris Kea added 14.
In the first meeting of the season between the two rival schools, an 83-70 Carolina win on Jan. 29 in Chapel Hill, the Tar Heels tied a school record with 14 three-pointers. On Thursday, NC State made 13 triples on its way to victory on senior night for the Wolfpack. Seniors Dominique Wilson (19), Ashley Williams (18) and Jennifer Mathurin (13) combined for 50 points in their final game at Reynolds.
