Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day Set For March 30

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Carolina softball's annual Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day will be Sunday, March 30 when the Tar Heels host No. 9 Florida State.
The Tar Heels and Seminoles, who are tied for the top spot in ACC standings, will play a doubleheader at 1 and 3 p.m. on Sunday, and both games will be featured on ESPN3. Game three of the series will be Monday at 6 p.m. on ESPNU.
Former Carolina softball player and ovarian cancer survivor Jamie Shaver Mayberry will throw out the first pitch of game one on Sunday. There will be a silent auction, and Strike Out Cancer t-shirts will be sold for $20 (short sleeve) and $25 (long sleeve), with all proceeds being given to UNC's Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Donations for the Lineberger Center will be accepted on Sunday, and tax-deductible gifts can also be given online by following these directions:
