Coastal Carolina Shuts Tar Heels Out In No-Hitter

CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina's Kiana Quolas pitched a no-hitter to shut out North Carolina 3-0 on Wednesday.
Quloas fanned five batters in seven innings while recording her third shut out of the year. Morgan Noad was responsible for all three of the Chanticleer's runs, hitting a solo home run in the second and then a two-run triple to knock in Bri Chiusano and Jessie Winans in the third.
Kati Causey walked twice and Kristen Brown reached base on an error, but the Tar Heels weren't able to record a hit for the first time this season as they dropped to 11-11 (5-1 ACC) for the year.
Lori Spingola (6-6) took the loss, tallying five strike outs while giving up three runs and six hits.
