No. 13 Sooners Down Heels In Women's Basketball

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - LaNeisha Caufield scored 18 of her 23 points in the second half Sunday as No. 13 Oklahoma pulled away for a 94-77 win over North Carolina as part of the ACC-Big 12 Challenge.
Rosalind Ross made a career-best five 3-pointers and tied her high of 19 points for Oklahoma (13-4). Stacey Dales added 18 points.
The Sooners started the second half with three straight baskets, two by Caufield, to open up a 51-37 lead.
The Tar Heels moved within 53-46 on a jumper by Coretta Brown with 14:50 to play, but got no closer.
LaQuanda Barksdale led North Carolina (10-7) with 18 points and 14 rebounds for her 30th career double-double. She was held to a single basket in the second half's first 10:27.
Brown scored 17 points for UNC, despite her 5-for-17 shooting from the field. Juana Brown chipped in 12 points and Candace Sutton 10.
Caufield made 11 of 18 shots and contributed seven assists.
The loss was North Carolina's fourth this season against a non-conference team. The Tar Heels previously lost to Buffalo, Old Dominion and Notre Dame.
