CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina Wrestling team won seven of 10 weight classes in routing James Madison 26-8 Saturday night at Carmichael Auditorium.
Eighth-ranked Skyler Holman completed a successful season by taking a 15-0 victory by technical fall over Chris Combs in the 125-pound bout. Holman finished the regular season with a 31-2 record. Sophomore Matt Kenny took a 13-4 major decision over D.J. Hockman in the Heavyweight bout, while senior Jamie Groudle ended a two-match losing skid with a 5-4 decision over Seth Cameron at 165 lbs.
Other Tar Heels posting victories were Brad Byers, Josh Cowley, Corey Bell and Nick Richmond.
The Tar Heels finish the season with a 7-6 overall record. James Madison dropped to 5-4. The Tar Heels will compete in the ACC Tournament March 4 in College Park, Md.
