Tar Heels Go 2-1 at UVa Cavalier Classic

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - UNC won two of three games at the UVa Cavalier Classic Tournament over the weekend.
The Tar Heels earned a 9-1 win over the host Cavaliers on Friday. Radara McHugh pitched the complete game for UNC, giving up two hits. Natalie Anter, Crystal Henderson, Stephanie Jurkowski and Megan Smith all doubled for Carolina, which scored five runs in the top of the seventh.
On Saturday, Carolina completed a 5-3 win over Eastern Michigan after the game was halted by darkness on Friday. McHugh pitched three innings and earned the win, while Henderson went 2-for-4 with a double.
Carolina dropped its final game of the tournament, 10-4 to Princeton on Saturday as the Tigers scored nine runs in game's final two innings. McHugh took the loss for UNC.
